Geotechnical Movement Monitoring Instruments
In particularly important projects (e.g. underground holdings), we use state-of-the-art, state-of-the-art and high-precision monitoring, warning and risk avoidance instruments, such as:
- Digital crackmeters
- Drilling mecynsiometers
- Anchor load measurement cells
- Biaxial voltage meter
All the above-mentioned instruments are electrical and have been installed in specific parts of the roof and on poles of underground holdings, providing direct measurements of high accuracy.
In addition, a software is used for analysis using specialized software.
Digital cracking meters: These are high-precision electrical instruments that can record the change in the distance between the sides of a discontinuity
Drilling length meters: These are high-precision electrical instruments which are placed in perforated perforates which are mined almost vertically in the arrangement of a system of discontinuities bearing the natural rock. The purpose of these instruments is to record any movement of soil material or rock that can take place at greater depths, and not on the visible installation surface of the instrument.
Anchor load measurement cells: These instruments are load measurement sensors and are placed between the anchor plate of an anchor and a metal plate based on the surface of the rock. The aim of the instrument is to capture the charge of the anchor plate on the head of the anchor in the event of a phenomenon (e.g., movement between the sides of a discontinuity)
Two-axis voltage gauge: It is a high-precision instrument that records the change in voltages inside the rock (e.g., in the centre of a pole)
Seismograph: This is a high-precision seismograph that aims to record vibrations through the geo-voice which includes.
Safe Mining Monitoring 24/7
For the 24-hour monitoring of the structure of the marble farm the company has been equipped with modern technological means, which are the spearhead worldwide for the monitoring of movements of hypertexts and underground movements and more specifically:
- Senceive Company Micro transforming Instruments
- Georandar monitoring company IDS
- HxGN GEOMONITORING HUB Quarry Monitoring Platform
- Motorola Employee Communication & Welfare System

FHL Privately Owned Quarries
The Group's Quarries
WHITE marble is created from metamorphism of a very pure (silicate-poor) limestone or dolomite protolith. The characteristic swirls and veins of many colored marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as clay, silt, sand, iron oxides, or chert which were originally present as grains or layers in the limestone. These various impurities have been mobilized and recrystallized by the intense pressure and heat of the metamorphism.
